Samsung Finally Unfolds the World’s First Foldable Smartphone

A Samsung official has repeated his words saying the company plans to launch its long-awaited foldable phone this week. According to Reuters, it is going to unveil the foldable phone at its developer conference. The company intends to show the model to developers and the public to get their feedback. Samsung finally admits that it is developing a flexible phone. In recent years, such type devices from companies like Lenovo are being presented to us. Samsung is also one of them and has not stopped the gossips. The whisperings proclaiming the South Korean company was about to roll out something new were always there.

Eventually, Samsung has changed its Facebook profile photo. It has added an image with a folded version of its logo. It is the first time the company has officially admitted the existence of such a gadget. Samsung was apparently in a race with Huawei to get the tiara of the first to launch a foldable phone. However, the anonymous official accepted that this was a different approach to the consumer-facing launches the company has favored for its flagship handsets. According to them, it was essential since the bendy phone is an entirely new approach regarding design and user experience. The announcement is for the developers who will require to redesign their apps. In short, it is necessary if they want to make the most out of a folding display.

Meanwhile, it is doubtful that we will see a consumer-ready gadget at the developer keynote. In spite, we are anticipating to view its UI along with the first comprehensive image of the phone. While we are not expecting a whole product until next year, Samsung plans to publicize introductory information about the phone. The annual Samsung Developer Conference will begin on today, i.e., on 7th of November. Samsung’s SDC 2018 event sets out with a keynote at 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT on Wednesday. The event will evidence the company’s upcoming new foldable smartphone.
